My instructor Gerhard Marsch was an absolutely amazing instructor both on land and in the water. We were able to work through all the safety, kite rigging, launching the kite and riding. He even took the time to talk about kiteboarding etiquette in the water and on the beach. I now feel more confident then ever to get out and ride.

Took many lessons with other people before meeting Gerhard. He helped to transition me from riding with an instructor to by myself. He’s a great guy and is very reliable/ dependable. He teaches fun, safety, technical skills and communicates/ explains concepts well. His prices are fair and he gives off a great vibe. I would definitely recommend him.

I had taken some lessons in Aruba before meeting Gerhard in Toronto, but I didn’t have the confidence to get my own equipment and take kiteboarding to the next level. Gerhard helped me get there and I have never looked back! I remember the day we met at Wasaga beach. It was great. Once he had me up on my own, he took out a camera and recorded some awesome footage of me. He made a really nice video for me which a re-watched about 20 times afterwards.

I would recommend his lessons to anyone looking to learn the sport. Not only will he teach you on the water but he will give you advice above and beyond the lesson. Its great to have a guy like Gerhard in your kiteboarding family. Once I met him, I could tell how much he loves his job and teaching the sport safely.

I have had the privilege of learning how to kiteboard with ukiteboard with instructor Gerhard. ukiteboard has changed my life forever by giving me the knowledge and confidence to progress in to the amazing world of kiting. Gerhard went out of his way to help me, even when he would see me out practicing the skills he taught me from a previous lesson, which really goes to show he is sincerely a great role model for the sport. He wasn’t on the clock and yet he was taking time out of his free time to assist me. I am forever grateful and will be bringing my wife to ukiteboard for lessons as she is tired of me running off when ever the wind blows lol and i am confident that ukiteboard can help put her mind at ease and teach even her anxious mind. Thank you ukiteboard and thank you Gerhard for all of your time and energy! I look forward to kiting with you soon!

I always wanted to try kiteboarding but never found a way to go for it so when I met Gerhard through a friend of mine and he suggested I will check it out I was immediately in.
Hands down Gerhard is the best teacher I ever had, he is patient and experienced and makes you feel ok if you screw up (which I do a lot of).
I am excited to be learning kiteboarding from him and looking forward to the day I will fly too.

I had about 9 hours of lessons in all types of conditions and progressed rapidly throughout the lessons due to Gerhard’s ability to identify my problems and teach me how its done, It was also a bonus to be able to use the large amount of equipment the school provided.

I had amazing kite lessons with ukiteboard. Gerhard took care of picking the right day with suitable conditions and made sure we went to a safe, beginner-friendly spot. Setting up the gear and additional input was all around creating a good understanding of kiteboarding´s dynamics and getting me self-sufficient. On the water he worked hard making sure I got as much time riding as possible and after all I ended up going both directions all by myself – woohoo!
Subsequent to our sessions I was able to start practicing by myself and by now I am a completely independent kiteboarder riding deep water and practicing first jumps. Altogether Gerhard is a very nice character. He got just the right mix of letting you room for self-practice and supports you well whenever needed. Thumbs up!
